Export Format Options

Stop Motion Studio supports a wide range of export options.

1. **Movie:** You can export your animation as a video file. Video formats are commonly used for sharing video files on social media, video-sharing platforms, or editing in other video editing software. You can export your video file in either MP4 or MOV format. MP4 is a highly compatible format supported by most devices, video players, and streaming platforms. MOV is a native format for macOS and is well-suited for Apple devices and software. When choosing between H.264 and H.265 (HEVC), consider the following: Select H.264 for broad compatibility and general-purpose use, while H.265 is preferred for scenarios where efficient compression and reduced file sizes are critical, as long as you confirm compatibility with your intended playback devices and software.
On Windows: MP4 and WMV (Windows Media Video) is best for Windows compatibility and smaller file sizes. AVI (Audio Video Interleave) offers higher quality due to less compression but will create larger files.

2. **Project:** Choose this option if you want to save, export, or backup your project for further editing. A project can be transferred to another device to continue work on.

3. **GIF:** Stop Motion Studio allows you to export your animation as a GIF (Graphics Interchange Format). GIFs are widely used for creating short, looping animations that can be easily shared online.

4. **Image Sequence:** You also have the option to export your animation as a sequence of individual image frames. This is useful if you want to further edit or process your animation in other software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Adobe After Effects.

5. **Flip Book:** Export and print each image to create a flip book. Each page typically contains a slightly different image, so as you flip through them quickly, it gives the impression of a continuous and fluid motion.

6. **Sticker:** Export your animation as a sticker to use in iMessage.

Please note that the availability of these export options may vary depending on the specific version and platform you are using.
